Harrison baseball wins fifth straight, improves to 7-3

After starting the season 2-3, Harrison has rolled off five consecutive wins and are looking like a real contender in Class AA.

The Huskies went on the road to Class AAA Mamaroneck on Wednesday and took care of business in a 7-3 win.

Keni Franck threw six innings, allowing two hits and one earned run. Dante Lanza had a huge day at the plate going 2-5 with three RBI and two runs scored.

Wednesday’s win capped off a ten day stretch where the Huskies took down Fox Lane, the No. 2 team in our Bracketology Standings, as well as a road win over AAA Scarsdale.

In another win last week, Harrison’s ace, Marco Citro threw a complete game shut out against Rye Neck, striking out 17 and allowing only 2 hits. With a 1-2 combo like Citro and Franck, the Huskies will be a tough out come playoff time.

Citro will be on the mound on Friday when Harrison challenges Scarsdale in the second game of the league series.
