Two best teams in Section 1? Whether you can debate that or not, one thing entering Thursday’s Section 1 Class C Girls Lacrosse final between Rye and Nyack was definite: Only one of them could leave with a section title.
After Nyack defeated Rye in the regular season, the Garnets returned the favor in the game that mattered most. Rye rallied from an early deficit, took a three-goal lead in the fourth quarter and hung on in the final minutes for thrilling 10-9 victory at Lakeland High School.
