Mamaroneck blanks Greeley in field hockey showdown

Another big test for the Mamaroneck field hockey team came on Wednesday. And this time, the defending state champs passed with eye-opening dominance.

Mamaroneck defeated Horace Greeley 5-0 on the road — the first five goals the Quakers had allowed in five games this season — in a balanced effort on both ends of the field.

Five different goal-scorers contribute for the Tigers: Lexi Suman, Kate Orchanian, Ruby Pearson, Lilly Brickman and Ali Marasca.

Mamaroneck improved to 6-0 on the season (find all results here) overall. In the five wins in Section 1, the Tigers have outscored those opponents by a 33-0 margin.
