The official Section 1 Boys Soccer playoff brackets have been released and kick off this Saturday at the higher seed.
Class AAA
Scarsdale and North Rockland both receive byes into the quarterfinals as the 1 and 2 seeds respectively in Class AAA. Scarsdale is looking to start the road to their third consecutive state title behind All American Lorenzo Galeano. No. 3 seed Arlington is looking to make some noise as well, as the Admirals have already taken down the Raiders in an early season matchup and haven’t lost since September 21st.
Contenders: Scarsdale, North Rockland, Arlington
Our Pick: Scarsdale

Class AA
We hate to put too much praise on one team going into the postseason, but Tappan Zee hasn’t lost since September 13th and is outscoring opponents 32-2 in October. Brady Jacobs is a scoring machine and the Dutchmen look to be the clear favorite in Class AA. Peekskill has been strong all season and comes into the playoffs with only one loss, but hasn’t played a AA team this month. Greeley, Fox Lane and Harrison also look like teams that might make some noise.
Contenders: Tappan Zee, Peekskill, Greeley, Fox Lane
Our Pick: Tappan Zee

Class A
Defending champ Byram Hills is back on top heading into the postseason as the No. 1 seed. The Bobcats have been firing on all cylinders once again behind senior striker Chris Amenado and appear to be the team to beat. Ardsley has seen a remarkable turnaround this season and is in the No. 2 seed with a 13-2-1 record after winning only two games all of last year. Don’t forget about last year’s finalist Rye though, and we think Pleasantville might just have enough to make a deep run.
Contenders: Byram Hills, Ardsley, Rye, Pleasantville
Our Pick: Byram Hills

Class B
This might be the toughest class to call. Keio sits in the No. 1 seed and their 15-1 regular season campaign was nothing short of dominant. The Unicorns might not have played a schedule as tough as some of the other Class B contenders, but they have to be considered the team to beat. Blind Brook has seen an impressive turnaround under a new head coach and is filled with veteran leadership. Rye Neck has also been steady all year, and tied Blind Brook twice in the regular season.
Contenders: Keio, Blind Brook, Rye Neck
Our Pick: Blind Brook

Class C
North Salem and Tuckahoe are the likely finalists in Class C this season with only four teams competing. We think North Salem is the pick this year.
