Albertus Magnus’s junior phenom, and one of our GameDay One ELITE selections last year, Julia Scott was chosen by the Lower Hudson Basketball Coaches Association as the top player of the 2024-2025 season. Last year Scott was named the 2023-24 Rockland Girls Basketball Player of the Year. She is no stranger to big awards and is currently listed as the 37th ranked player in the class of 2026 according to ESPN. The 4 star recruit led the Falcons in scoring with 26.5 points per game 17 rebounds per game and 3 blocks.
After leading the Falcons to the Gold ball in her sophomore year Scott made sure to do it again.
She led her team to the number 1 spot atop the section standings. The Falcons came into the
playoffs knowing what needed to be done and cruised to the gold ball. The job wasn’t finished
with the girls heading upstate for the state championship. They faced off against Liverpool from
Onondaga who weren’t to be taken lightly. Albertus Magnus was prepared with Scott leading the
charge dominating the whole game finishing with 33 points and 22 rebounds earning the Falcons
back to back state championships.
Scott has accumulated dozens of scholarship offers from schools all over the country. Over her
high school career she has amassed a total of over 1700 points and 1000 rebounds. The craziest
part is she has a year left so those numbers are still growing. Can’t wait to see what she has in
store in her senior year.
