Ardsley draws even with Peekskill in boys soccer matchup

Ardsley lost a one-goal lead in the first half only to score late in the second to pull out a 2-2 tie on the road at Peekskill on Wednesday evening.

The Panthers, who beat Peekskill at home 2-0 in the first meeting, got ahead on a Tiernan Kenny goal on a feed from Thomas Cardozo.

Umaru Conteh scored a pair of goals for Peekskill (9-2-1) and was stellar defensively until Ardsley (9-1-1) broke through with under nine minutes to play.

Phillip Kaufman converted a feed from Kenny to tie the game for Ardsley, which got six saves from keeper Ryan Nejad to run the team’s unbeaten streak to four games entering Saturday’s showdown at Lakeland.
