Here’s a look at some of the top games of the week:
Monday, Sept. 9
Game of the Day: Arlington at North Rockland, 4:30 p.m.: The rematch of last year’s Section 1 Class AAA championship pits the two elite programs at the large school levels. Arlington defeated North Rockland in the final after losing in the regular season. The Red Raiders opened the season with a 4-1 win over Nyack last week. Wednesday, Sept. 11
Game of the Day: Tappan Zee at Eastchester, 4:30 p.m. The Eagles have shined in the early part of the season after sharing the Section 1 Class AA championship with Scarsdale last fall. The momentum has carried into 2024. TZ was the No. 1 seed in the Class A playoffs last season and has opened the season with a win over Panas and a loss to Ardsley. Eastchester | Tappan Zee

Thursday, Sept. 12
Game of the Day: Mahopac at Fox Lane, 5 p.m. Light schedule of games but a solid matchup of Class AA programs. Fox Lane opened the year with a 4-0 win over John Jay-Cross River. Mahopac had its hands full with a 6-3 loss to Somers. Fox Lane | Mahopac | Watch on LocalLive here
Friday, Sept. 13
Game of the Day: Tappan Zee at Byram Hills, 4:30 p.m. The top teams in the section always challenge themselves with loaded non-league matchups and this is a good one. Byram Hills’ upset of No. 1 Tappan Zee served as a springboard for the Bobcats to a Section 1 championship and a journey to the state final in Class A. Byram Hills is a section favorite this fall. Game of the Day: Yorktown Tournament Championship, matchup TBA. The winner of Yorktown-Arlington B will take on either Fox Lane or Pelham in the tournament final.
