GameDay One Elite: Julia Scott, Albertus Magnus

Sophomore phenom Julia Scott, a 6-foot forward at Albertus Magnus, starts off the prestigious GameDay One Elite list, which honors the Top 10 athletes from Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess and Rockland counties from the 2023-24 school year.

The awards are sponsored by Veolia. Visit veolianorthamerica.com to learn more about the conservation programs being offered to customers around the region.

Check out the tribute to Scott, as well as an interview with the basketball star last week as she prepared to compete in the AAU National Championship tournament in Kentucky.

Scott has continued her rise as one of the nation’s most sought-after recruits. With offers already from North Carolina, Villanova, Boston College and many others, she recently received scholarship opportunities from Northwestern and Oklahoma.

All this with still two years left to play at Albertus Magnus, where she guided the program to a Class AA New York State championship last winter.

The rest of the GameDay One Elite list will be revealed throughout the summer.
