Hen Hud hoops star Kaitlyn Raguso earns ConEdison Scholar Athlete of the Week Award

Congratulations to Hendrick Hudson senior Kaitlyn Raguso for being named this week’s @conedison Scholar Athlete of the Week.

Raguso is averaging over 18 points, 11 rebounds and 4 steals a game, and has lead the Sailors to a 6-5 record against a majority of larger school opponents. She recently eclipsed 1,400 points and is within striking distance of the Hen Hud all time mark.

Off the court, Kaitlyn is described as a true leader who is constantly driving her team to have fun and be the best they can be. Chosen to be a peer leader by Hen Hud staff to assist underclassmen, Raguso also volunteers with the school’s Unified Basketball program.

An exceptional student, Kaitlyn carries a 95 unweighted average and is a member of the National Honor Society, Math Honor Society, and Italian Honor Society. She plans on pursuing a career in nursing while playing hoops at University of Scranton next year.

We also hear that she’s an incredible girls basketball sleepaway camp counselor.

Congrats Kaitlyn on a well deserved honor!
