This week’s honorees in “5 Stars” are:
Riley New, who led Fox Lane to a 3-1 week, highlighted by her dramatic efforts in the final minute to beat John Jay-Cross River.
John Jay-EF sophomore Brooke Matessino, who drilled a buzzer-beating 3-pointer in overtime to defeat Arlington and cap a sensational week.
Cadence Nicholas of Panas, who eclipsed 2,000 career points.
Westlake senior Maggie Plotkin after her week, which included a career-high 31-point effort as guiding an injury-ravaged Wildcats squad to a 3-0 stretch
Mia Strazza of Harrison following her season-high 34 points in a win over Byram Hills.
And Con Ed Scholar Athlete award winner Kaitlyn Raguso of Hen Hud as she continues to lead the Sailors on a winning streak into the second half of the season.
