Las year’s state finalist Byram Hills took another step towards back-to-back Section 1 Class A Boys Soccer titles with a dominant 5-0 win over No. 9 seed Panas. The Bobcats overpowered the Panthers with a balanced attack which saw four different goal scorers and four assists on the day.

Ryan Pero lead Byram with 2 goals, and Ryan Nichols, Harry Boyd and Chris Amenado all found the net as well. Seb Olego lead the Bobcats with 2 assists, while Boyd and Amenado both found teammates for scores.

Byram’s quest for another shot at state championship next runs through No. 4 Rye, who the Bobcats beat twice in the regular season. As Horace Greeley painfully learned yesterday, beating a rival three times in one season is incredibly hard to do, so Byram can’t afford to look past the Garnets in this semifinal matchup.
