Rye Takes Down Nationally Ranked Wilton

At Nugent Stadium in Rye, the Garnets had seven players find the net in a 15-14 statement win over No. 10 nationally ranked Wilton of Connecticut.

Lilly Whaling scored 5 times while Caroline Doyle added 3 goals and 2 assists in a tightly contested victory where Rye was able to hold off the Warriors after jumping out to an early lead.

The Garnets have made it clear that they will not make it easy for #19 nationally ranked Nyack to walk away with the Class C title.  Last Wednesday, Rye took the Redhawks to the wire in a 13-11 loss and responded with an impressive 11-6 win on Saturday over defending Class A Champion Suffern.
