The Section 1 Field Hockey playoff brackets have been officially released and games begin this Thursday, October 24, with the Class B play-in game between No. 16 Brewster and No. 17 Byram Hills. GameDay One has you covered with schedules, scores and updated brackets.
Class A
Mamaroneck went 22-0-1 last season on their way to the NYS Class A title in 2023. The Tigers have followed that up with a 14-0 regular season this year, allowing only one goal to Section 1 opponents. As solid as teams like Ketcham, Ursuline and Suffern have looked this year, Mamaroneck is just that much better.

Class B
The Lakeland dynasty has won a staggering 15 straight Section 1 titles, but an early loss in the state tournament last year has the Hornets motived to win the Class B crown yet again. Lakeland is still the team to beat, but the gap between teams like John Jay-CR and Greeley has gotten smaller. The Hornets and Wolves split their home and home series during the regular season, with the road team winning both contests. Will this be the year that the dynasty finally gets knocked off?

Class C
Putnam Valley, Pawling and Pleasantville and Bronxville have all looked capable of winning the Class C title this year. Putnam Valley was upset in last year’s final and is definitely motivated to make the next leap for the program. We think this is the year the Tigers get over the hump and take it home.
