Tappan Zee stays hot behind Jacobs' four goal performance

Brady Jacobs is the 2x All-State, 2x defending Rockland Player of the Year. Opponents are very aware of who he is and know they must prepare for him if they want a chance at competing with the Dutchmen. That’s why it’s so impressive when he does things like score three minutes into a game and then eventually account for all four goals in a 4-0 shutout over rival Pearl River. Jacobs’ scores were assisted by Mark Cavalli, Olivier Sciorra and Chris DuPont.

Tappan Zee has now won five matches in a row, outscoring opponents 25-2 during a stretch that has put them at the top of the Class AA playoff picture. The Dutchmen obviously boast a potent scoring attack with Jacobs upfront, but the defense has been just as impressive allowing only 5 goals the entire season. Perhaps no other team in the section has this type of momentum heading into the final weeks of the regular season schedule.
