Yorktown rallies, beats Poughkeepsie at home in boys thriller

Yorktown stormed back from a 13-point third-quarter deficit and picked up arguably its most impressive victory of the 2024-25 season.

Kaden Gonzalez scored 12 of his 23 points in the fourth quarter as the Huskers stunned visting Poughkeepsie, 61-55, in a key Class AA matchup of league rivals at Yorktown High School.

Gonzalez added 10 rebounds and three assists as Yorktown used a 26-4 run in the second half to turn the game around.

Sander Stone added 14 points and Ryan Duffy had six points and six boards for Yorktown, which improved to 6-2 on the season.

Tyrone Dubose led Poughkeepsie (4-3) with 15 points.
