New Rochelle's Anderson Krasner earns ConEdison Scholar Athlete of the Week Award

Congratulations to Anderson Krasner of New Rochelle Track and Field and Cross Country, on being named the ConEdison Scholar Athlete of the Week.

Anderson Krasner is one of the top middle distance runners in Section 1, qualifying five times for Nationals and two times for NY State Championships. The New Rochelle track and field captain has been named All-Section three times and All-County a remarkable five times in his varsity career.

Krasner has established himself as an all-time great for the Huguenots, holding the school record in both the 1000m and 1600m distances.

As impressive as his running career might sound, his academic accomplishments are simply awesome. By the end of time at New Rochelle, he will have completed a dozen AP and college level courses holding a 96 unweighted average. His PSAT and SAT scores both ranked in the top 1% of all HS students nationwide.

Anderson also finds time in his busy schedule to contribute to his community through volunteering at Temple Israel and with local elementary school band members.

The senior star has an eye towards a career in the health field, not only participating in multiple Columbia University research projects, but also founding his schools Future Health Professionals Club.

Congratulations Anderson on this well deserved award!
