Bronxville Takes Down Tappan Zee Leading Into Final Weekend

The Bronxville boys lacrosse team sits at 8-6 and the No. 5 spot in the current Class D Bracketology standings. The Broncos record is a bit misleading however, as they’ve played perhaps as challenging a schedule of any team in Section 1. Yesterday, at home, Bronxville took care of business against Class C No. 3 ranked Tappan Zee 13-10, handing the Dutchmen only their second loss of the season.

Thomas Freeman and Jack Reilly paced the Broncos with 4 goals apiece while Nick Martinelli assisted on 3 scores. North Carolina commit Luke Arrighi had another strong performance in goal, saving 22 of Tappan Zee’s 32 shots. Tommy Linehan continued his dominant season for the Dutchmen, netting 5 of their 10 goals.

Bronxville travels to Edgemont today and Hastings on Monday to close out the regular season.
