Woodlands Takes Down Rye Neck 20-8 In Opening Win

Woodlands took down Rye Neck 20-8 in a Class B/C showdown in Week 0 action on Saturday.

Quarterback Masai Campbell led the charge for Woodlands, delivering a clutch performance through the air. Campbell threw for 144 yards and two touchdowns in delivering the Falcons to an opening day win after an 0-7 2023 campaign.

Ethan Locke rushed for 106 yards and a touchdown, while TE Jamison Stevens and WR Skyler Turenne were key targets for Campbell in the passing game. Stevens caught two passes for 50 yards and a touchdown and Turenne contributed 84 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Woodlands looks to continue their strong start next week with a tough matchup against Class D defending champ Haldane.
