Jaquan Johnson scored four touchdowns and amassed over 200 yards rushing as No. 1 seed North Rockland shut out three-time champion Carmel, 28-0, in the Class AA semifinals at home on Friday night. North Rockland will next take on Mamaroneck for the Section 1 title next Saturday at Mahopac High School at 6 pm.

Longtime Section 1 Swimming and Diving coach Meg Kaplan was inducted into the Westchester County Sports Hall of Fame at a ceremony on November 7, 2024 at the Glen Island Harbour Club. Kaplan has spent over 35 years leading the programs at Horace Greeley and John Jay-CR, and has served as the chairperson for Section 1 boys and girls swimming and diving.
