Ardsley Completes Unlikely Journey to Section 1 Class B Football Crown

Ardsley started the 2024 season 1-3 and entered the Section 1 Class B playoffs as the No. 6 seed. They trailed Pleasantville 7-0 at the half and struggled to gain any offensive momentum. The Panthers, however, would remain patient and capitalized on three Pleasantville turnovers in the third quarter go up 21-7 and eventually win 28-14. This is the Panthers first title since 2019 and third in the last six seasons.

Ardsley was lead by Ahmady Dolcine’s 94 rushing yards and two touchdowns, while junior QB Lucas Kaplan grinded out a tough 73 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries. The Ardsley defense created four turnovers in the second half and held Pleasantville scoreless until a late 4th quarter score with the game out of reach.

Ardsley moves onto face Section 9’s Port Jervis on Friday night at 7pm at Arlington High School.
