Blind Brook continues impressive fall season as Girls Volleyball moves to 8-1

The town of Rye Brook has several things to be excited about this fall.

After a tumultuous spring season filled with practice space issues and lost home games due to Blind Brook’s fields being closed, the Trojans have turned the page on a new school year and the new fall sports season. The high school has a beautiful new turf field and not one, not two, but three varsity programs look like solid bets to make deep postseason runs.

One area where the school has seen some recent success is Volleyball, where the Trojans took home the 2022 section title. This season Blind Brook team is in first in Class B and moved to 9-1 yesterday with a 3-0 win over Sleepy Hollow. Senior Ella Rosenfeld tallied her 500th kill during the match.

On the new pitch, the Trojans soccer programs have hit the ground running this fall. The Boys are currently 6-0-2, just fractions of a point behind Keio for first in Class B. Senior captain Nico Palacios has been the scoring engine behind Blind Brook’s success, while GK Luka Cuk has three clean sheets in a row and six on the season. Check out this steal and score from Palacios on Friday night vs Valhalla:

The Trojans Girls Soccer team is sitting in first place in Class B, lead by captains Natalie Carey, Kayleigh Curran and Makayla Dutra. GK Bella Montesano has been tremendous as of late, with three shutouts in their last three games and five for the season.
