Congratulations to Alexander Berisha for being named the ConEdison Scholar Athlete of the Week.
The Fox Lane wrestling standout recently completed a 22-2 senior season, winning the Section 1 and New York State titles at the 215 lbs weight class.
In addition to his NYS triumphs, Berisha also dominated at the prestigious Eastern States Wrestling Classic, going 5-0 on his way to the championship.
Off the mat, Berisha translates his passion for the sport into volunteer work with Fox Lane and GPS youth wrestling.
A respected leader, Alex has been a three-year varsity wrestling captain and is consistently recognized by his peers and coaches as a model of dedication and work ethic.
