GameDay One Elite: Boogie Fland, Stepinac

Boogie Fland left quite a legacy on not only the Stepinac basketball program – but in Westchester sports history.

The basketball standout guided the Crusaders to back to back CHSAA City Championships before embarking on his career at the University of Arkansas and new coach, John Calipari.

Here’s the tribute to Fland, as well as an interview with the reigning New York State Player of the Year, as he earned GameDay One Elite honors:

Fland talks about his transition to the college level as he works out down in Arkansas, why he chose to stay at Stepinac through the entirety of his career and his dreams beyond college.

The rest of the GameDay One Elite list will be revealed throughout the summer.
