Mamaroneck wins 6th straight in five set victory over Arlington

Mamaroneck hosted Arlington on Tuesday in a key Class AAA matchup between the current No. 3 and No. 4 teams in the playoff standings. The Tigers and Admirals entered the match riding win streaks of 5 and 3, respectively and both have looked like they have the potential for a deep postseason run.

Tuesday’s contest would live up to the hype, with Mamaroneck outlasting Arlington in a thrilling five set match where no set was decided by more than 6 points (25-23, 21-25, 25-19, 24-26, 15-10). Lindsay Suman starred for the Tigers, contributing 13 digs, six kills, 30 assists, two aces. Multisport standout Addie Dorfman also added 11 digs, 18 kills, seven blocks for Mamaroneck.

Both squads have quick turnaround matches, with Mamaroneck hosting Mount Vernon on Wednesday and Arlington hosting Mahopac.
