Media Day: Rye Moves Back to Class A, Goal Remains The Same

The Rye Garnets made the most of a small enrollment drop and took home a Class B state title last season. With numbers in the district back up, they now move back to Class A where they’ll have to deal with contenders like rival Harrison and Yorktown in the regular season, with back to back state champ Somers looming in the postseason.

Despite being one of the smaller Class A schools, the Garnets are still one of the top contenders to knock off Somers. Rye returns dynamic Division 1 athletes at the skill positions like Chris Iuliano, Jake Kessner and Tucker Hess. Junior Carson Boo Miller takes over at QB for his brother AJ and will be able to bring a different type of athleticism and speed to the position.
