Pearl River overcomes 4th quarter deficit for 21-14 win over Ardsley

Pearl River scored two late touchdowns to overcome a 14-7 Ardsley lead, for a 21-14 home win on Thursday night. The win helped the Pirates secure a home playoff game and a 7-1 regular season record.

Entering the 4th quarter deadlocked at 7-7, Ardsley went up on a 1 yard QB keeper from junior Lucas Kaplan with 5 minutes left in the game. Pearl River would storm back however, scoring two times in the final minutes for the huge win in front of the Pirates faithful.

Pearl River QB TJ Lanese accounted for all of the Pirates scoring, throwing TD passes to Anton Omundsen and Brendan Carlacci and also rushing for another score.

Pearl River will likely enter the Class B playoffs as the No. 3 seed, while Ardsley will be watching the scoreboards this weekend to see if they qualify for the 8 team bracket.
