Second-half breakouts of Ratliff, Crupi earn "5 Stars of the Week" honors

The latest “5 Stars of the Week” show for Jan. 27 features a couple of breakout stars of the second half of the season along with three players who’ve been posting monster numbers all season.

Adonis Ratliff, the 6-foot-9 Stepinac junior, is among the five players recognized by Kevin Devaney Jr. and GameDay One on this week’s show. Ratliff, who has interest from countless high Division I programs, led the Crusaders to another undefeated week.

The other members of the “5 Stars” this week:

Three-sport standout Joe Crupi, who ignited Harrison to a 2-0 week.

Deion Murray of Greenburgh-North Castle scored 47 points in a win over Tuckahoe, which is the most by a Section 1 player in a game this season.

Undefeated Mamaroneck and standout Will Plunkett continue to dominate, led by his performance in a win over defending Section 1 champion Mount Vernon.

And Fox Lane standout Arthur Shevick following his 35-point performance to beat rival Horace Greeley make this week’s list.
