Brewster bounced back from a Week 0 loss to Section 9’s Ballston Spa with a 13-0 win over visiting Lakeland.
Brewster RB Tre Ficarra opened the scoring on the first possession of the game, while Bears QB KJ Dillon connected with Nick Smith for a 59 yard touchdown to put the game away.
Lakeland QB Anthony Frobose was a Swiss Army Knife for the Hornets, accounting for 144 passing yards, 30 rushing yards and 21 receiving yards in the losing effort.
Brewster travels to John Jay CR on Saturday night, while Lakeland visits Yorktown on Friday at 7pm.
