Iglesias leads the way for Somers in 49-12 win over Fox Lane

Somers was in control from start to finish, building a huge lead by halftime in a 49-12 home win over Fox Lane.

The win moves two-time state champion Somers to 4-0, with the Tuskers and Rye as the only unbeatens in Class A.

Senior QB Miguel Iglesias was incredibly efficient both through the air and on the ground. The Notre Dame lacrosse commit went 12 of 13 for 205 yards and 3 TD’s throwing and added 84 yards and 2 TD’s rushing on only 6 carries.

Mason Kelly was the workhorse once again for the Tuskers, rushing 17 times for 128 yards and 2 TD’s. Junior gamebreaker Dean Palazzolo caught 4 passes for 128 yards and a TD. Matt Mayfried and Tristan Iglesias added receiving TD’s for Somers as well.
