Yorktown offense erupts behind four Kaden Gonzales touchdowns; Huskers dominate Mahopac 42-7

Yorktown responded from a humbling 28-25 loss last week at Fox Lane with a dominant 42-7 win on the road at Mahopac on Sunday.

The Huskers have boasted one of the most potent air attacks in Section 1 this season, lead by senior QB Kaden Gonzales, who reached the 50 career touchdown mark on Sunday. Gonzales was 14 for 23 with 269 yards and 3 TD’s through the air, adding another on the ground as well.

Brady McEnroe lead the Huskers with 5 catches for 101 yards and 2 TD’s while Tyler Galante played swiss army knife for Yorktown adding 50 receiving yards, 43 rushing yards and a score.

The Yorktown win and Mahopac loss leaves both teams at 4-2 along with Brewster and Harrison in the Class A standings behind unbeaten Rye and Somers. The Huskers have a showdown at home against Garnets on Friday night, while the Wolf Pac go on the road against 1-5 JJCR.
